What I Wore Wednesday
Today is the last Wednesday I will be spending in FL until I return from my travels in September! I am a little sad about leaving my wonderful family, especially my sweet niece and nephews. My family had a small goodbye party for me last night, which was lots of fun. So glad everyone was able to get together one last time to see me off. It’s great to know I have their love and support as I embark on this new chapter of my life. Tonight and tomorrow night I have to pack - packing for 6 months sounds extremely daunting though. I would love any suggestions on clever packing tips!
I guess I should say a bit about my outfit too - I don’t think I will be able to leave this pink top behind, the pants I may do without, and unless L lets me steal her shoes I guess I have to leave those as well.

What I Wore Wednesday
I must confess, I actually wore this outfit yesterday as I felt it was quite appropriate for Valentine’s Day. L was kind enough to let me borrow her dress - we are fortunate to be about the same size in both clothes and shoes! I am not one to get too caught up in Valentine’s Day, but I was pleasantly surprised to come home to a bouquet of tulips from a special someone. All in all it was a great day!

What I Wore Wednesday
I am at a loss for words today. Do you ever feel like that? Like no matter what you are trying to say you just cannot seem to say it? I’ve worn every single piece in this post in previous outfit posts (see here, here, and here for a sampling). It’s still incredibly warm here so trying to dress wintery is a challenge and about the only thing I can bear is long sleeves paired with a skirt or jeans paired with a lightweight top. I know that winter has been mild everywhere this year, but it has rarely gone below 80 here! And even I who sacrifice for fashion on the daily cannot bring myself to wear any of my boots in this weather. Maybe I’ll get a chance to break them out when I visit my grandmother in Connecticut in late March? Here’s to hoping that is the case!

What I Wore Wednesdays

Hope everyone’s week is off to a wonderful start! I cannot believe it is the first of February! Where has the time gone? I have tons of new and exciting things happening in my life, which I will share in the coming weeks, but until then here’s my first WIWW post for February! This dress was my very first purchase from Asos. I purchased it back in October and hadn’t had a chance to wear it yet. I accented the mustard color with blue shoes and a colorful belt. This dress can be worn throughout the year. The color lends itself to the cooler months and the cut and style of the dress make it a perfect dress for a warm weather affair. Also, there is a cut out in the back! I normally would shy away from something like this, but the construction of this dress works for my body and the hint of skin adds that little bit of intrigue.

What I Wore Wednesdays

It’s Wednesday! Which means I am half way through my first full week of work since before Christmas. I have been completely spoiled these last few weeks and it may take me a bit to adjust back to a 5 day work week. So far, so good. I absolutely love this outfit. I paired my chunky sweater with my cream skirt to create the the perfect mix of chic meets cozy. I topped off the outfit with some fun accessories and my favorite new shoes. Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday! Don’t forget to link up here if you are doing a WIWW post! Still so excited I came across this!

What I Wore Wednesday

Lots of things going on this week. First off happy Wednesday! Only a couple more days and then the weekend! Second I finally found the perfect vintage Coach bag on ebay.  I took it to the cleaners because there was some wear on it. While there, the lady that helped me informed me I could also get the bag re-sprayed. I have to tell you I was a bit skeptical about this, but decided to give it a go. I got my bag back and it looks great! No, it’s not perfect and doesn’t look brand new, but the color looks so much more saturated and is much more of what I was going for. Also, you may notice my SHOES! I had been obsessing over these for months and C was sweet enough to surprise me with them for Christmas - made my day! I am heading to Kansas tomorrow evening with L, my dad, and my oldest nephew for a mini vacation. I am so excited to get back to Lawrence, visit with old friends, and watch KU play in Allen Fieldhouse! I’ll try to keep you all posted via twitter of what I am up to. You can follow me here!

What I Wore Wednesdays

I feel a bit like a classy cowgirl in this outfit with the large belt and cowboy booties. The dress is the same as the blue version I wore here. It really is a versatile piece that I can dress up or down. I wore this dress once before to the holiday party for my work and really dressed it up with a bold necklace, black tights, black heels, and gold ankle cuffs. I really should’ve taken a pic of the outfit for you all! It was quite an attention getter - in a good way, I hope! I hope this first week of 2012 has been going well for all of you! I can tell you one thing I am really happy it is already Wednesday! Hoping the rest of the week flies by!

I want to know! What do you think of the new WIWW post layout? Did you like it better the other way?

What I Wore Wednesdays
Looking at these photos makes me think I went a little too western. Eek. I absolutely love this shirt - it’s light weight and a great color with an oversized pattern. I paired it with a navy skirt, cowboy booties (maybe that’s where I went wrong?), and some bold jewelry. Not sure if you have noticed but I love bold jewelry. If I am not wearing a necklace it makes me feel naked - no lie! I think I may need to rework this outfit maybe jeans next time and a skinnier belt is the way to go. I’ll post pics once I edit!
