What I Wore Wednesday
Today is the last Wednesday I will be spending in FL until I return from my travels in September! I am a little sad about leaving my wonderful family, especially my sweet niece and nephews. My family had a small goodbye party for me last night, which was lots of fun. So glad everyone was able to get together one last time to see me off. It’s great to know I have their love and support as I embark on this new chapter of my life. Tonight and tomorrow night I have to pack - packing for 6 months sounds extremely daunting though. I would love any suggestions on clever packing tips!
I guess I should say a bit about my outfit too - I don’t think I will be able to leave this pink top behind, the pants I may do without, and unless L lets me steal her shoes I guess I have to leave those as well.

Just had to post a shoe that literally stopped me in my tracks. They are just too cute!
My apologies for the complete silence as of late. I am leaving for NYC on Friday for a Blogging Your Way workshop and soon after I am heading to The Netherlands! I have been so busy with my job wrapping up and getting things prepared for my trips that I have completely neglected my blog. I am not sure when I’ll get back to posting regularly, but I will do my best!

the home stretch
This week’s the home stretch will be a little different than previous ones. When I thought of the “the home stretch” as a weekly feature I wanted it to focus on my interest in home décor and be a final post to send you off on your weekend. I didn’t really think I would ever refer to something in my life as the home stretch, but today I find myself there. I am on the verge of new and exciting happenings and they begin in just two weeks as I leave my job behind to start my own venture. The next couple weeks and maybe months will really stretch me as an individual and I am nervous and excited about it. I know I usually don’t spill too much of my personal life on here, but I wanted to let the few readers that I have know what is going on and to forgive me if posting isn’t as regular as usual. So, here we go on the home stretch to ending one chapter in my life and beginning a new one.

What I Wore Wednesday
I must confess, I actually wore this outfit yesterday as I felt it was quite appropriate for Valentine’s Day. L was kind enough to let me borrow her dress - we are fortunate to be about the same size in both clothes and shoes! I am not one to get too caught up in Valentine’s Day, but I was pleasantly surprised to come home to a bouquet of tulips from a special someone. All in all it was a great day!

The Dorothy Perkins site has such a large inventory it takes forever to browse through everything. I chose to highlight only dresses because from what I can tell it seems to be their strong point. Although I don’t have any use for these, I am loving these coasters from Calypso. They are completely on trend and are so beautiful. Coasters are a really funny thing, some can be quite tacky, but I don’t think these would ever go out of style.
